eating on a budget to gain weight
I just realized these past few days that thanks to a hectic grad school schedule and my medication (Vyvanse for AD/HD and Lamictal for bi-polar II), I've lost weight, and not only that, I'm at a very precarious weight at that. (I'm 5'5" and weight 96 pounds. EEEEP.) Obviously since I'm a student, I'm on a budget, and as a grad student, I'm also on a time budget. I'm on break now, but what can I make/buy/prepare that is going to be (a) affordable (b) quick and easy to make and (c) help me gain weight? I hope to talk to someone at student health that deals in dietary issues when I go back to class, but I figured I can't be the only one here with the same problem. I'm concerned about this, and I don't want to lose any more weight. I love fruits and veggies, except for onions, and I do like my meat, so I'm open to all kinds of suggestions. I have a Crock-Pot and I just got an electric skillet for Christmas, and I do also have a deep fat fryer (though that isn't the way to do it, I know!) so I've got some tools at hand to make things. I also plan on discussing the meds aspect with my therapist, though I missed my appointment today due to miscommunication. I know that has something to do with it, my appetite has not been as good as it used to be. Thanks!
