It’s hot outside! It went from unseasonably cool to Wow, Warm! in about three days. The roses have loved the cooler spring. As always, if you wish, click on picture for full size and greater clarity.
Gorgeous red rose (redder than the picture, very red velvet) with a fabulous scent. Although there are all sorts of roses in the world, when I think rose, this is the form that first comes to my mind
and behind the cut, more roses and a few other things
George Burns. Probably my least favorite rose, doesn’t do especially well in our yard, the colors don’t appeal to me. I’d probably yank and freecycle it but my husband seems to like it
about face- Luscious butter cream on top with a backing of pale tangerine, probably one of my favorite roses ever
Cherry parfait, pretty, vigorous, with tons and tons of blooms
A cabbage rose, not sure of the name but this thing blooms and blooms and smells fabulous well into the afternoon
a few none roses, the blooms on our LA sweet orange.
The winter was very hard on our poor satsuma, it has tons of buds but almost no leaves
and this is the first year our avocado bush has bloomed! I am hopping for avocados by summers end.
