Picture heavy. If I know the variety of rose I named it. Early on, when we first bought the house, I just plopped things in the ground and I don’t know what they are.
The bud begins orange laced with yellow
Then as it opens you can see the yellow on top but the orange on the bottom
What are these critters and why don’t I mind them eating my plant? In fact, I enourage them!
That little striped creature is a monarch butterfly baby. I plant milkweed just for them, and the other day I had about five babies eating the leaves. Soon they will surround themselves with a jade green cocoon, and then I will have beautiful monarchs in my yard.
