exciting garden idea….

Okay, so the privacy fence that comes up along the side of the house to the front, is about l8-22 feet wide. Ann offered to let me have as many bricks from what they tore off the house for the addition…..I’m thinking of perhaps building some raised beds up against the fence, and tiered, the highest parts perhaps 4 feet high; all along against the perpendicular side and about 5-6 feet going down along the parallel side…… Oh god that would be so cool; I could feel like I’m sitting in my own sunken garden!!

Now I’m thinking the bricks should be laid, cemented in, so as not leaning against the fence, which is el-cheapo stockade, and then there is the problem of the house side, but those could come out about 2-5 inches.

I wonder if this could work, considering it would be up against (but not entirely leaning on) a stockade fence that is only two years old?
