I am looking to try and find some affordable health insurance for myself (I am a 22 year old student with a part time job, and still living at home with my parents), but I have no idea on where to start looking.
My part time job doesn’t pay much but I’m assuming that some way I can make it work to try and get insurance for myself.
I’m currently enrolled in the Texas Women’s Health Program which only pays for birth control and doctor visits that are related to women’s health. But that will be expiring come 2008 and I don’t know if I will be accepted again. I really want the insurance out of fear that one day I might need a doctor really bad and don’t want to be stuck with huge ER bills. I haven’t been to the dentist/eye doctor/regular doctor in 4+ years (with the exception of a well woman exam this year).
What are your suggestions to start looking for health insurance, any helpful phone numbers or websites?

I just checked my school website and they do not offer health insurance nor do they have health care facilities, so that is not an option for me.
