This is a weird specific question but surely someone here will be able to answer. I am making my summer budget (which will be tight as I'm saving to go abroad this fall) and I need to know a ballpark figure for food. I don't have a good idea of what I normally spend because during the semester my scholarship provides me a lot of fake money (dining dollars!) to use for food. So here are my specifications: 1. Cooking for two (me, an average girl and my boyfriend, who is young, growing, and hungry!) 2. Eat pretty healthy (meat a few times a week maybe, lots of vegetarian, lots of fruit and veggies) 3. Want to get most of produce at local farmers markets 4. Tend to buy a decent amount of food at natural food stores (bulk, organic, but not silly yuppie stuff so much) 5. Pretty willing to do extra kitchen work to make it cheaper (cooking from scratch, etc) Anyone like me? Surely! If so, how much do you spend? Weekly or monthly or whatever.
