Freezing dried beans

Freezing dried beans

I found this, and it seemed like a great idea I normally wouldn't of thought about. Figured I'd share! http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=220938 "I also posted this hint in the OAMC forum. I like to use cheaper dry beans instead of canned in my crockpot recipes, but don't always remember or have the time to presoak them before cooking. I've learned that I can presoak a big batch when I get them home from the store, and then drain and portion into meal size servings in freezer bags and freeze until needed. I just put the frozen beans in whatever crockpot recipe I am using and it comes out great. Hope this hint helps other dry bean fans."
