Friend or Foe?
I watered my norfolk island pine this morning and found a sudden explosion of tiny red insects that look a little like miniature ants.. anyone know what these are? I tried to take a photo but they're SO hard to catch on camera. I thought they might have been thrips, but after googling, I'm pretty sure that's not what it is.. they don't have wings, and they're REALLY tiny. They're also longer bodied than spider mites. So what are these things? Are they a serious problem? How can I treat it if they're dangerous? While we're on pest management, does anyone know of any really good websites with a nice collection of pest information?
