This is my garlic:
It sprouted too early because I’m the worst kind of gardener– an impatient one. But in the picture, can you see the holes dug into the mulch? I think our cold weather raccoon is back. This morning the garbage cans were knocked over which usually heralds the return of our winter neighborhood nuisance, Panda the really fat raccon. I grabbed what veggies I could but I think I’ll have to concede him the rest.
The thing is, he dug holes all around the garlic but avoided the cloves completely. Weird, no? I’m no thinking of planting a garlic perimeter around my yard to keep him away. Unless these holes are the work of something else….
