fun in Chicago
Hello, I'm new so please forgive me :) I'm getting married this June and my soon-to-be-wife and I are planning to honeymoon in Chicago. We're both poor (she's still a college student and I'm a librarian, hehe) and are a little clueless on frugal ways to really enjoy ourselves in Chicago. I've already made plans to go to the tourism center the day we arrive to pick up coupons and discount passes and have made the active attempt to spot discounted days in museums, etc. So, any suggestions on cheap but good entertainment (bars, lesser-known museums and sights, shopping districts and markets), food, transportation, etc? I've heard rumors of a pretty nice eatery called the backstage bistro that is suppose to be pretty cheap and tasty, any comments on this? Any suggestions on how to swing it frugally in chicago for 1 week will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
