funky mushrooms… in compost?

funky mushrooms… in compost?

I had a mushroom sprout up underneath one of my tomato plants. Yesterday, it had opened up into this 11" monster cap (white, with brown skin bits remaining at the center from it's pre-explosion surface, and deep, slightly bluish/greenish gills). I yanked it (and it's slightly smaller friend) out of the planter, and am wondering...

Should I toss them into my compost? Maybe it's a silly question... but instinct requires that I axe if poisonous shrooms in the compost would systemically alter my veggies in some strange way.

Edit: It's a "Green Spored Lepiota" or Chlorophyllum molybdites, which is apparently the most common culprit of mushroom poisonings in North America.
