Garden 2008…

Here’s the garden in April last year, 2007. I added the squash bed on the outside, and those trellises in back. I used them for pole beans and cucumbers. I also added a removable garden box for greens, beets and radishes.

Here it is in mid-April 2008. I added a Strawberry box..I got the idea from someone here, you may recognise it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Last weekend I tidied everything up with landscaping fabric and planted my tomatos, squash and Cucumbers.

Here’s a closeup of the side of the garden, those are herbs in the foreground From left: Sage, Thyme, & Oregano. I have planted Lavendar in the four corners, they are great attractors of pollenating insects.

Here’s the garden box: I planted beets, arugula, salad mix and spinach… I think I need to work on this concept, they didn’t do as great last year, except for the mesclun mix.

Anyway, that’s what I’ve been doing the past few weekends.
