Gardenia (also Avocado, Roses)

Hey everyone, this is my first post here. I’ve been having some trouble with my gardenia lately. It’s been getting yellow leaves at the bottom and slowly the the higher leaves are starting to turn yellow too. I added some vitamin B complex with chelated iron yesterday (approx 1 tablespoon in 1 gallon) and sprayed for bugs with a garlic and tea concoction I made (1 clove of garlic and one tea bag in approx 1 gallon water. The tea actually because I hear gardenias like that). Also some of the leaves look like they are cut in half (see pic below). I’ve had this gardenia since the middle of June. It’s in full shade all day because it’s Arizona and it’s hot.

It’s gotten cooler in the past few days, so its starting to make buds (there are two other buds) :)

Mini-roses making a recovery from aphids? spider mites? heat? I’m not sure. I actually sprayed them with my garlic concoction yesterday too. It is in full sun all day. This is what they looked like before they lost all their leaves: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/forestchild/miniroses.jpg
