mosquitoes are horrible here, you know how people say they are ‘covered’ with bites when in reality they have two or three total? well I have two or three per square inch of flesh, when I go outside just to harvest say, I’ll come back in with 15 or so more bites, even on my face, I even got one right thru’ the waistbands of my pants, so clothing is no deterrant. Mosquito repellant makes me violently sick, no herbal or arcane cure works, they love me so much they go right into places where I’ve applied Absorbine Jr, to relieve the itch, so I’m reading gardening books "A LOVESOMETHING" BY PRUE LEITH and yesterday I made this:
just to keep on gardening, the rain we had pouring down for 8 or 9 days straight started my tomatoes to rotting, I do have lots of rutabagas, some carrots and turnips and lots of peppers but the tomatoes have seen better days. sigh, so I’m reading, and sewing and getting ready for next year, Heavy sigh…. here is my new harvest basket, during the best of the harvest it will be waaay too small, but I have a second one for big stuff like cabbages, rutabagas, etc.
