Gardening Restraint. Its hard.
I caved and started some of my seeds, arguing that the hot peppers say to start 8-10 weeks early. I did a tray of 25, with 10 hot peppers, some basil (if I can start it from seed it saves me buying six basil plants), a couple of tomatoes and some random other things just to see if the seeds will grow. (Is it worth it to start slow-maturing pumpkins and watermelons indoors?) I've been digging into gardening resources, planning out my raised beds (I think we're doing two 4'x8' beds) and generally bouncing around like a kid on their way to Disney. March is seedling month and hopefully I'll have better luck giving away my extra plants this year and pretty much everything comes in flats of six or eight. Its awesome, but I don't really want to waste space on eight plants of something I may or may not like. Now I just have to stop myself from buying everything that looks interesting. One question for you all: I've been looking for Chinese Lanterns, does anyone know where I can get seeds from without ordering them online?
