Bluing has made my white clothes nice and shiny white.
Except for the load of white I washed last night–evidently I put in too much bluing and now I have white clothes with blue splotches.
Any idea how to get the bluing out? I’ve run them through the washer three times. I’ve taken some of them and tried to hand-scrub the bluing out with dishwashing liquid or Woolite.
I have to wear white clothes for my volunteer job, and thanks to my idiocy, now have none. I can’t really afford to replace them, although I will be heading to Walgreen’s this morning in search of one of their $2 t-shirts.
Any ideas? I’ve tried Googling the answer, but all the results seem to tell me that “bluing is difficult to remove, even with repeated washings,” which isn’t exactly helpful at this point.
What do I doooooooooooo? And more importantly, can it be done in the sink at home?
