getting rid of clothing

im moving internationally soon (back home to australia) and because we are poor and cant afford to have anything shipped (every spare cent we have is going towards paying for our dog to come too) my husband and i are having to cull down everything we own into two suitcases each. this is A LOT easier said than done, even though both of us are very immaterial and seem to own nothing anyway. all of the kitchen stuff/entertainment/furniture/car etc will be taken care off by jumbo garage sales and craigslist, but i have literally 6 garbage bags full of clothes that i wont be fitting into anytime soon or isnt really worth taking in such limited packing space... i know garage sales dont generally move a lot of clothing, and since it will be my husband and a male friend or two doing all the selling (i am going back a little earlier), i am not going to expect them to arrange things out nicely or in size order, which i know helps move stuff like that... is there any better way of getting rid of these things than just taking them to the thrift store? i know thats where most of them will wind up and i have no issue with that, but with money being so tight through this move any little bit helps.... there are maybe one or two things that would be worth listing on ebay... im not a name brand buyer at all. but they are mostly in very good condition and there are lots of business appropriate pants and dressy shirts....
