going back to college
I'm 22 years old, and for a long list of reasons, I only attended a semester of college right after senior year and haven't been back since. But I'm starting to think and plan about going back now, but I need some help. Since I'm still only 22, even though I don't live with my parents, financial aid still takes all three parents' incomes into account when I apply. Four years ago I didn't get any aid for school, and I most likely won't now, either. I have really bad credit, and unfortunately the school I'd be going to is the closest to me, but out of state, so it's going to cost an arm and a leg more than normal. I can apply for outside scholarships and grants, but its been 4 years since I was in school, so my academic records won't weigh as heavily as if I was a graduating senior. I simply can't afford to go back under these conditions, but I need to and more importantly, I want to. I don't make very much money at my job and in fact would have to quit if I went back to school, since its a day job and I'd be going back full time, and most likely living on campus. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how I can get the money to go back to school in the spring?
