They are one of those "As seen on TV" things but I decided to give them a try. Found them $10 for 20 bags (two different sizes) at my kitchen outlet store. You can use each bag 5 times so that's 100 produce purchases (almost half a year's worth for me especially since I'll have to buy less because I don't throw out food). I have now had heads of romaine last more than 2 weeks, bananas last a week and a half, and tomatoes go for 2 weeks. They might go longer but we finish them (except the bananas). This has been a definite money saver for us. The longer bags are awesome for romaine lettuce. I really think it is a good investment to cut down on wasted food. Those fans of farmers' markets may appreciate them especially because you can buy more. The commercials say some produce will last up to a month but it's all gotten eaten before then because it's all fresh and yummy. The only odd thing is eating 2 week old lettuce :/ I apologize for sounding like an advertisement, but I hope this could help someone to know they are tried and tested by a real person. I have also seen them at wal-mart but I didn't check the price.
