Green bags

Green bags

So, I'm sure you guys have noticed more and more retailers putting out green bags. That is most definitely a Very Good Thing for the environment, and for us in this community. etc etc etc. The grocery stores around here have started selling their own green bags, and the place where I work (Target) has recently started doing this. But, um, Target's green bags SUCK! They range anywhere between $0.99 (for the bags that zip away to the size of a checkbook) to $1.49 (larger, stand-up, doesn't fold away to fit in your purse). The one here was selling *really* huge stand-up green bags that also folded away to fit in my purse. I JUST got it a little while ago, like three weeks or so ago, and never used it for anything heavy - just bulky stuff (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) that would have taken up a lot of plastic bags. Well, I noticed yesterday that - AUUUUUUUGH!!!!!! The bottom on my really large Target green bag has given out! I have no idea what caused it, either. It showed no signs of strain on the seams. It was just a piece of shit and came undone. :( I am extremely bummed, because holy damn that thing was *big* and *deep.* I haven't seen them selling these bag sizes since then. So, I come to you guys for recommendations, which chain stores to not get green bags from, etc. Target's green bags are *not* made out of canvas, so I would steer clear of these. Bummer. I figure if I ask, I'd be helping other members too. :)
