Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has had experience with getting their glasses prescription put into your frames by an online business — for instance, an optical retailer with a website or on ebay that claims to put any prescription in any frames for cheap? Or, have you tried any other lens-buying technique that saved money as opposed to going the retail store/optometrist route (which is often like $100+)?
If you have any feedback about the lens quality and service you got from an online business, and whether they had the same lens options you get at a retail store (thinner polycarbonate lenses, coatings etc) I’d be really interested!
I have lotsa myopia, so it probably wouldn’t be worth it for me to buy cheap lenses if the thickness (coke bottle?) couldn’t be minimized, but that usually costs more.. Any recommendations?
