Have you ever noticed?
That the kind of weeds that plague you each year changes? I was reflecting on this over the weekend as I weeded and generally spruced up my garden for spring. Last year, I had these awful tall spiky weeds all over the place (I'll spare you any pics). This year, I haven't yet seen any of those, but I have this other small scraggly weed with ugly yellow flowers all over the place instead. I hardly noticed that one last year. Of course, I always have dandelions, which I actually don't mind that much since at least the flowers are cheery. But it did get me thinking about why this year's plague appears different from last years. Has anyone noticed this? Is there some truth or science behind it?
