Hi! I'm new to this community. It's nice to see so many people who love gardening as much as I do! I have a small garden in my backyard, along with quite a few houseplants. My garden is 10x10 feet square with a couple of potted plants because I didn't have enough room... In the garden I have various tomatoes (which have gotten huge), peppers, Japanese eggplant, and sweet potatoes. In the flower bed by the (empty) birdhouse, there are snapdragons, dusty miller, lavender, mums, and hens and chicks. In the 5gal buckets on the bench are rosemary, basil (that has started to flower) and another tomato. I bought that last tomato and the rosemary as an afterthought after I planted my garden, so there wasn't any room for it. On the other side of the garage we have raspberries and watermelon, but no photo. A close up of the veggies: A close up of the flowers: Things are a bit weedy, it has been raining and I haven't had a chance to weed lately. Snapdragons in bloom! And I have two questions: I have a potted calla lily that I got for a gift. I really want to plant it outside, but as I don't have any experience dealing with bulb plants, I'm not sure how. I know bulbs can be fussy as to when to plant, but I have really no clue. Also, I want to transplant some tiger and day lilies from my mother's house to mine. How would I go about doing that? When should I do that? I live in zone 4-5, by the way. Thank you so much in advance, and I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your gardens!
