Help me those who are mathmatically inclined
Hi, I know there are quite a few cell phone posts that are bouncing around on here, but I have a some what specific question. I'm going away to college this year. I'm either leaving in Late June or Early August. I will go home every weekend, and mostly correspond with my "at-home" friends through IM and Email [although I'll talk a few times a month for maaaybe 15 minutes at a time]. I probably won't make friends at college, but I might need to contact my professors a fair amount of times [for homework and such]. So, I'll talk about 40 minutes a week MAXIMUM. I found a plan from T-mobile: Nokia 6101 phone free; $29.99 a month [300 minutes per month + unlimited weekends] and pay a $35.00 activation fee OR I could go Pre-paid and get a Nokia 6010 [for $50, unless I can find one on ebay] and spend $100 and get $1000 minutes that don't expire for a year [with no activation fee]. Okay, so what is that absolute CHEAPEST plan? I'll live in Poughkeepsie, NY if that's a issue. I don't need text messages [although not being charged to receive them would be nice], nor anything else. I don't need a fancy phone [I have a TracFone already, although I haven't used it in a year]. All I need is something to connect me to the rest of the world. P.S.: If it' a plan that DOESN'T come with a free phone, I might get my parents to buy me one under $75 for a graduation gift of some sort. But I would like the cheapest phone possible. I don't care if it's t-mobile or not Thanks!
