Helppp!

Helppp!

My kitchen is itty bitty! It's maximum capacity is 3 people... and if 3 people are in the kitchen, then we're just standing doing nothing. If I open the dishwasher, I have to stand up against the counter to get to the sink to load, then weasel around the other side and contort my body around to get to my counters to put dishes away! If you open up the fridge door, you can trap your enemies at the sink! If the oven door opens, you can't open the fridge. Only one person can work in this kitchen. I need some space. I would like it to be more colorful...less blah and woody. AND CLEAN, but I'm working on that. Sorry for the mess, but honestly, it looks like this ALL. THE. TIME. :( Please keep in mind that I RENT, so no painting or serious work. The "entrance." My island and garbage can are outside of the kitchen because... there's no floor space for it! Another view of the entrance. Pardon my roomie playing CoD. He lives in that spot. Haha! First thing you see when you walk "in." I would say sorry for the mess, but it ALWAYS looks like this because we don't have enough room to put crap away! Crap from other rooms even ends up on the counters. I don't understand boys. Further down the same counter. t First thing you see on the left... There's a wall that I have the bulletin board on before the fridge. Cabinet space by fridge. And then the kitchen sink and the end of space. Better view of the beginning of my living room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've listed some of my ideas... please tell me if you think they won't work or something! I've already tried doing some things, like using the pegboard in the garage that my landlord put there... Here's a picture. It's in the other room, though, so that's inconvenient. :/ But it looks good! I plan on making a new one and putting it where my bulletin board is and painting it a nice shade of blue/teal, similar to my measuring cups! After reading apartmenttherapy and browsing some posts on LJ, I've thought of some ideas: Painted pegboard above the stove for utensils Refrigerator side shelf New bulletin board on side of cabinet next to Godfather art OR a design with removable paper Painted pegboard pot rack where current bulletin board is Drying rack above sink Undershelf baskets Curtains in window Buy new trash can to fit under sink Tall bar/breakfast nook-type thing where the trash can and island are? Snazzy burner covers (anyone know of where to find some?) Magazine rack inside cabinets to organize pan lids/cutting boards

I guess it wasn’t such a bad idea.
