Hibiscus Help!

Hibiscus Help!

My coworkers gave me two beautiful Hibiscus plants as a "quitting" present last week. They are in 10" pots, one has wine red flowers, the other has white flowers. I was away for four days this week and had a neighbourhood kid tending to them as I did not have time to plant them before I left. The pot of the red one seemed to drain quickly and I told her to make sure to check on them and water them a lot. Well, it would seem she didn't listen because now the leaves are not only droopy, but crispy. There is very little moisture left in them, and I am worried it will die. Upon discovering this I watered them thoroughly right away and left the pot of the red one in another pot filled with water to thoroughly moisten the soil. Is there any hope for this plant? Any thoughts you can give me as to how to rescue this plant would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
