hornets/wasps

hornets/wasps

Hi... I'm hoping this is a gardening question. Last fall we moved into a rental house (which I love) and the yard is landscaped pretty well. We are kinda waiting to see what blooms this year before weeding/replanting (except for a veggie garden). In the last week or two we have had increased hornet/wasp activity in the back eaves. This is also the main entry way for our foottraffic. We spray 3.50 cent sized chunks down (w/ flying insect spray killer) and now there's 3 more and then we walked around and looked high up and saw the mothership and 4 smaller 'ships' being formed. After spraying them all down, what's anyone's advice on the best course of action? Those yellow bottle traps?
