Hottie with a table saw…

So I'm building this plant stand, I have it all measured and drawn out, just gotta get some additional lumber. I have 2 questions. First off, invision the space. I have a set of double doors that lead to the backyard, only the left one opens, so i just have this giant glass door with a few plants sitting on the floor infront of it. So I want a plant shelf, with 5 or 6 shelves, as tall as the door. I've got the construction all down, but I'm worried, that during the winter months, the plants won't get enough light. So I was thinking, the light is more blue, during the winter months, if I lined the bottom of the shelves with a metalic surface (sheet metal, either gold or silver), put gold on the bottom, and silver on the top, do you think that would effectively reflect light, and help plants during the winter months? Or does it seem a little pointless at which point it would just be a decorative thing, which sheet metal isn't cute, so there's no need. So that's one question, to sheet metal or to not sheet metal. Question #2 is... What do you think about constructing a mini-greenhouse on one of the levels, just attach a little sliding glass door to the construction, and put succulents in there that need a little extra moisture. Do you think just being inside will be good enough for them? Or do you know of house plants that can't take the winter months because of the heat inside? Cheers all--
