How to remove chlorine from swimsuits
Do you have a favorite swim suit or swimming trunks that you don't want the pool to bleach out? There is a much cheaper way to preserve your swimsuit than buying the expensive chlorine-neutralizing product available in most swimsuit departments. Head for the pet-supply store and pick up a container of AquaSafe or a similar product developed to remove chlorine from fish tanks and ponds. It is so concentrated that a 16-ounce container (about $10) can treat up to 2,500 gallons of water. Fill a bucket with water, and add a drop or two of the chlorine-neutralizing product. Deposit suits into the bucket, swish around and allow the suits to sit for a few minutes. You should not have to launder. Simply rinse and hang to dry.
