I conquered Ikea all by myself
Even though I never posted pictures of my current room due to lack of proper photographs of everything, I will show you the latest addition to it: It's just a simple Ikea Billy bookcase of half height, but I put it up without any help and I'm pretty proud of that. The tools: I'm such a dork, the first page of the instructions showed a flat screwdriver so I thought I was okay since I don't have a crossed one. Then when I got started, I noticed that all screws were for crossed screwdrivers. Although I probably should have prepared better, the result is proof that you can actually use a flat screwdriver on (some) crossed screws. The remains: The war wounds and a thingy to hold the shelves up. There were nine in the packet. I feel sorry for the people who had one too little. The result: Not all my crap has been put back yet, it's not usually this tidy. The stacks of paper will get sorted, when I have time... The cheats: Because there isn't any straight angle in my room, not even between the floor and the walls, the piece of carton on the left is needed to make sure the bookcase doesn't tumble forward. On the right you can see a lunch bag fastener holding the wires from the cd player, the lamp and my laptop together. The details: Alphabetized cd collection. Almost two thirds of the bottom row is taken up by only three bands. Some dvds, cassettes, random cds and recently bought ones.
