I hope this entry makes sense… job related question.
I just don't have the means to go to school right now. (im talking community college) Money-wise, I get no financial aid, and I dont want to do loans. Also anxiety and other health problems make it difficult as well. I'm wondering how people get their foot in the door without much schooling? Im looking for entry level type clerical jobs or working for the state, or something along those lines. A place where i can work my way up and start making decent money while I save up to go to school (online classes) I am going to be getting around 600.00 back in taxes. Aren't there some sort of licenses you can get? Pay a set fee and get trained? I dont want to sell insurance, but aren't there others? Real Estate for example. If I sound ignorant and lost, please forgive me because I am. :*( I am 22 years old and I dont want to work in a pizza parlor anymore. I am trying to get a job at a bookstore just to get out of the food industry, but even that is still a job where I probably wont go anywhere. I also dont know anyone. I have a very small family and unfortunately no "hookups" or anyone to put in a good word for me. I dont even know my exact question. Whats a good way to get your foot in the door, of somewhere? or a class you can pay for and take to get a good job? I want to use this bulk of money Im getting for something that will really benefit me. Ideas? Personal stories? Tips? anything would be great. sorry so long and rambling.
