Finally! I've decided to move from the city to a bit smaller town about 1 hr 20 minutes from the city. The town certainly isn't tiny but its not going to get a big band to perform there either. *shrugs* It's worth it. I'm poor! Anyhow, the rent is $300/month and about $40 for utilities. The apartment I'm getting is great, I'm splitting it with a roommate. Laundry in the apartment, one garage stall, close to work (obiviously since it's a small town) and CLEAN too! It's not as far away as I wanted to move but I've decided it's a great stepping stone until I finish my nursing degree, then I'll take off out of this town. Anyhow, I'll get to the point of this post now that I've shared my great news! 1: I've got a new just through a temp agency. I'm hoping that doing this will get me a full time job at the Mayo Clinic. Has anyone worked for Kelly Employment Services or one similiar? Could you share your experiences? Did it eventually lead to a full time job? How long did it take to get something full time? 2: After you finish one temp job, did you have to wait an extremely long period of time before you got another "assignment"? 3: For those who are living alone (well perhaps with an unrelated roommate) how much do you spend on food and misc. expenses a month? Just guessing? This includes house cleaning stuff, shampoo, toilet paper, and foods? Thanks guys. Any suggestions will be very helpful.
