Inexpensive meals for a group
I've run out of creativity! We entertain once a week and I provide food. I've totally run out of ideas for inexpensive, simple meals to serve. I know the simple solution is to just stop entertaining, but that's not an option. I've made spaghetti, chili, meatloaf, homemade pizza, tacos, sweet and sour chicken, and goulash before. I've made all of them enough for us to be tired of them. Theres 7 of us to feed, but we eat more like there is 10 people. One person has high blood pressure, and two of them shun from most vegetables, unless they are with meat. Two of them are my children who are picky eaters anyway, but they can always have a PB&J sandwich. Rice is rather iffy with all but two of us. Seafood is a negative with most everyone, except canned tuna which is sometimes ok. I know I could make some inexpensive things with a crockpot, but mine is junk and has a cracked, thin-plastic lid. Its on the list of things to be replaced. What sort of recipes would you recommend that are both inexpensive and would actually be eaten by my group?
