I have an interview next week for a promotion at my current place of employment.
I work as a mental health case manager, and the dress code is VERY casual (jeans and t-shirts are fine). Obviously I plan to dress up for the interview, but I’m not sure what to wear… the job I am applying for is the same as my current position, but more intensive (I’d be working with clients who are more severely mentally ill, or have more significant problems in the community, than those I currently work with).
I wore a pantsuit to my original interview, but that was before I knew how casual the job was. Now I think that a suit would be overkill (plus I’d have to wear it all day during client visits, which is really not appropriate in my position). I was thinking either dress pants/shirt, or a skirt and top… but I’m not sure of the specifics.
Any thoughts?
