Hello! I just discovered this community today; I’m really pleased to find fellow gardeners to share my love of gardening with.
I’ve had a patio garden for the last 10 years; I live in a small apartment complex that has a large communal patio/courtyard, and over the years I’ve lived here, the patio has gone from barren to blooming. It’s the perfect place for growing all sorts of container plants, and over the years I’ve experimented with many different plants. Currently I have roses, lavender, herbs and strawberries, various bulbs and hostas and a fig tree growing. I’m getting ready to start planting up my barrels and other pots with the annual flowers for added colour.
I’m planning a new garden, a vegetable patch out at my friend’s farm, this year. I have had vegetable gardens before, but haven’t had a place to have one for the last years. My friend asked me to plant one this year, so I’m in the planning stages now. The plot has to be created from scratch, and fenced to keep the critters out of the vegies. I’m very excited about this new project.
I’m looking forward to learning more about other people’s gardens.
