Investing in appliances

Investing in appliances

My family runs out of food rapidly, especially bread. I know you can get cheap bread at the bakery thrift stores, but I like nice, freshly baked bread. (Especially different types like cinnamon.) Should I invest in a bread maker and make bread myself? Or should I just get a decent pan? Is it [bread maker and making bread] expensive? Difficult? No one in my family has ever made bread before... :( I'm also thinking of investing in a rice maker. My friend loaned me one - it cooks rice nice and evenly and lots of it without burning it. (You can make other things with the rice too, like adding potatoes or beans or whatever.) Edit: Thanks for your comments everyone, and I think I have reached a decision. :)
