Iris and a Plant ID

Iris and a Plant ID

This morning I went out and did some yardwork, the kind that's only noticed if it's not done. I hacked away at the mulberry trying to grow in the front yard and before getting out the Round Up to give it a good soaking I "rescued" some of the iris that were peeking out. I've been wanting to get a hold of some of these for years but the weed wacking maniacs always seem to beat me to it. I'm hoping these little guys will grow, so I can at least see what color they are. I am presuming I will have to wait until next year? For now I put them in a pot with some potting mix.

I also wonder if I can get an ID on this? Last year I planted some lunaria which I am not sure ever grew. In that spot there was something that looked like this but before much time went by the slugs made a good meal of it so I never got to see what it is. What do you think, is this one of the money plant seedling? I have a few more in the packet that I think I will start in pots.
