As I walked around the community garden plot, I noticed that many of the trash bins held weeds, plants that had gone to seed etc. Since the garden also has a free pile of ground tree trimmings, which this time of year contains the leaves attacted to the trimmings, I couldn’t resist starting a compost pile:
The gods of recycling then rewarded my efforts with two nice tomato plants that were also in one of the bins.
I should have put something in for scale, they were in 6 inch pots. And I was wondering what I should plant when the broccioli comes out.
