it’s been awhile…

Life has caught me up and I've been neglecting to think much about plants other than their basic care. But I'm moving soon. I'm not 100% positive where yet, but I looked at a super sweet place today that has a lot of planting stuff going on around the building. Think loosely English garden, squeezed into a spot here, a hillock there, the space between the walk and the fence, etc. If I get this place, I'll have some deck space, mostly Eastern exposure, with a bit of Northern. So I can become a container gardener :) Any recommendations? I live in Seattle (not sure what zone that is) and I like bushy, jungley, flowery things that are easy to grow. Is it too late to start veggies from seed? I'd tried some tomatoes, Basil and other herbs from seed, starting inside where I'm at now, and they did well for a bit, but then shrivelled up and died. I'll be moving 5/15, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can start as late as say, June 1st. Also.... Can you grow pumpkins in containers??
