Just a couple of quick food shopping tips

Just a couple of quick food shopping tips

These two have become so much habit with me now that I almost forget other people might not know them. 1. The internets is your friend. In the UK at least, Tesco and so on do all their pricing offers consistently across the stores, and online. By checking into the online store before I head to the offline one, I make sure I know what to look out for that'll be on sale when I get there (and avoid the "oo, cheap!" impulse purchase because I've thought about it. Lidl also has a website and checking what they have on offer week to week lets me know whether it's worth dropping by or not. 2. Best time for shopping If you want priced down food the best time to shop in the UK is 2:30-4:00PM on a Sunday. Because the stores close early on that day, stuff gets priced down sooner. (Was reminded to post this by watching The End of Cheap Food on ITV. Anyone else watching? I'm feeling vaguely horrified and flaily about the WASTE.)
