Late tomato blight… DAMN IT!

Late tomato blight… DAMN IT!

Well... here I go... At least it's the end of the season. I have two tomato plants that grow on the other side of the backyard... For the last few days I've noticed that the leaves on them started to turn brown. I didn't think much of it until today when I went to pick a couple of ripe fruit. Holy cr-p! Can you believe this!!!!!

Here is a close-up of the stems

Yummy tomato

I picked a few green tomatoes that don't seem to have any damage yet

Placed them by the window in the kitchen. Will they ripe? May be

Here are a couple of question. May I spread this fungus? Is it on my hands? Clothes? Do insects spread it? I have peppers right next to the diseased tomato plants. Are they in danger of contamination? Is there a chance this fungus will go dormant in the soil for the winter and then will infect my tomatoes next season if plant them in the same spot?
Thanks for your answers! I am so pissed!!!
