Household/Office Products Drip Coffee Maker Cleaner Recently I noticed that that the office coffee pot was a little too colourful. I searched the internet for a solution and found the following: ( stretcher.com/past/ds010806.cfm ) Mix 1 cup warm water and 1/4 cup baking soda. Let it drip through the coffee maker. Then drip a pot of plain water to rinse. It will keep your coffee maker clean and fresh. Not only was the glass pot sparkling when I finished, but the taste of the coffee improved. As a bonus, when I poured out the hot baking soda solution, it cleaned the stainless steel sink to a bright shine! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Homemade Cockroach Killer Mix 1 cup powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar) and 1 cup baking soda. Use an empty plastic ketchup dispenser to spread the powder. Shake to blend. Facial Moisturizing mask Rub inside of avocado peel over clean face, leave on 10 minutes, rinse with cold water. Exfoliating Facial Scrub mix handful of oatmeal with water to make paste, massage into clean skin, and rinse with cool water. Nail Care Nail Bleach apply lemon juice with cotton pads to bare nails to bleach/polish stains. Toner Mix 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar and 2 cups water. Apply after cleansing and before moisturizing. Pureed Cucumber - mix with ¼ cup water. Lemon Juice - mix 1 Tbs. juice with 2 cups water, apply with cotton pads after cleansing and before moisturizing. Toothpaste Mix one part salt to one part baking soda. A few drops of mint may be added. This also makes a soothing gargle for sore throats - just add a teaspoonful of the mixture to a cup of water. First Aid Band Aid Replacement What do you do when you have a cut, scrape, etc. and no band aid? Use some paper toweling and masking tape. The paper is sterile and the tape lets you make a comfortable and lasting fit in awkward places such as joints.
