This red plum tree is on my neighbors property (technically) about 1′ from the property line. The neighbor is a sweet old man but his yard is not his bag. This poor tree has slowly been leaning for about 15 years. As you can see in the following pic it’s now touching the ground on one side. He will not mind if we try to save it. So what can be done? Should I cut off the 2 limbs that are touching the ground?
There are no visible signs of disease and other than the leaning is a healthy tree.
Any advice is greatly appreciated =0)
