Lena’s Apartment: Installment 1, the Nursery
Who doesn't live in an apartment where you can't paint your walls? My "solution" was to get furniture that would make a statement and be the color in the room. Who knows how many more apartments we'll live in. "The Backstory" My husband and I have been living in apartments since we got married in 03. We have never really put much of anything on the walls since we move frequently and because our cat is a jerk, we haven't put much stock in decorations. We moved into our current apartment in June 09 - the summer we found out we were expecting a baby! We stayed in the same complex because we like it, and the new apartment is two doors down from the old. As we chose to not find out the sex of the baby, everything is neutral for now. Clockwise upon entering the room This is where we keep the car seat and diaper bags. The rocking chair was my grandmother's. Art above seat & chair. Dresser with lamp, teddy, photo frames, piggy bank and art to be hung, seen later, Book shelf with all kinds of junk. My belly and a baby corsage/mum. I made the lackluster curtains. I need to make the tie backs. You can see half of her hanging diaper thingy. My hope chest my dad made - have no where else to put it yet. Kiddo's toys on top, her play gym, hamper and diaper pail. Changing table. Crib. BLANK SPACE FOR FUTURE ART PART 1 (over changer) BLANK SPACE FOR FUTURE ART PART 2 (over crib) Closet view 1. Door wreath from our hospital stay. Closet view 2.
