long time lurker, first time poster

This isn't technically a gardening question, but this community being full of plant people, I couldn't think of a better forum to ask. I'm drawing a picture wtih some flowers/greenery in the background that require the use of a reference. (I want the plants to be real and not just made up. :) Anyway, this part of the drawing is of a raised flower bed containing purple allium and some ornamental grasses, and along the border, to offset the color of the allium, I wanted to put a profusion of low growing flowers. Not roses or lilies... something less "obvious" if you know what I mean.

But I can't really think of anything right off my head.

Any suggestions? (Or better ideas, if not yellow flowers?)

(I'm kind of anal when it comes to these sorts of details-- if a drawing is set in a realistic setting, then all the elements ought to be able to exist in reality, right? >_>)

Thank you in advance!!
