I’m intrigued by loofah gourds. I have been reading up on them throughout the day and I have been having visions of Christmas presents dancing in my head. There’s a ton of women between my family and my husband’s and salt scrub + Loofah sets would be crazy cheap to make for everyone this year. And yes, I am the crazy one who plans for Christmas in April. :-)
Anyway, My question is this, am I already too late for them? From what I’ve been reading they need as long a growing season as they can get. I’m right between zones 6b and 7a and have a large stretch of chain link fence where the plants could have a field day, it gets full sun, and it’s located away from the house as some reports say the plants smell. If I get these seeds this week and get them in the ground will that be enough time for them to give me a good crop?
