looking for a window gizmo
Awhile I ago I was stuck in the dentist's office, reading old magazines. I saw a really cool thing, but, like a dummy, didn't think to look in the back of the magazine to see where it was available. I don't even know what to call it, so I'm having a hard time googling for it. I'm hoping one of you gardening gurus will know what I mean and where I can get one. It was black metal. It was bolted across a window frame and held 3-4 pots in it and may have been adjustable. (I couldn't tell if the pots were in hoops or if they sat in a trough/box.) The result was that the plants in it (kitchen herbs, in this case) were directly in the window, and as the plants filled in, they formed a sort of 'curtain' for the kitchen. It was sort of like a window box, only A: it was meant to be inside the window, not out, and B: it was halfway up the window, not hanging from or braced on the sill. I just got gifted with a dozen or more baby spider plants, and thought something like this would be the ideal solution. I'd rather not keep them in pots on tables-my cat thinks they're salad, and I can't hang them from the ceiling. Does my description make any sense? What do you call the darn thing, and where can I find one?
