Low cost pet vaccs (US)

Low cost pet vaccs (US)

I checked the memories and didn't see this, so I wanted to share as many people I talk to are not aware of this.

SOME Petco and Petquarters offer low cost vaccinations.
I have only ever used Petco, so that is my point of reference.

At my local store, the last Sunday of every month is vaccination clinic day.(check the links for your local time and day)
Here it is 2pm-4pm and sometimes there is a line, other times not so much. To me the money saved to protect my cat is worth the standing and waiting. Besides, I have met some pretty cool people and pets while waiting.

I took my cat for shots and it cost me a total of $43 to have:
Rabies (3 year)
4-in-1 (FVRCP)
Medical waste disposal

(I had just gotten flea med @ my vet a cple weeks before so didn't need it)

I used to have another cat and a large dog and the most I paid for all 3 was $150

They do dogs, cats and ferrets.
There are a lot of things they do including the vaccs, heartworm testing, ear mite meds, microchipping and flea treatment.
They have cat or kitten and dog or puppy pkgs.

The folks who do the clinic @ my Petco work for Luv My Pet and are a vet and 2 techs. My vet just has me bring in the invoice so they can verify and put this in my cats records.

ETA:
I should also add that in that $43 pkg he also had a feline leukemia shot.
I know that just to book an appointment at my vet can be in the neighborhood of $35...so factoring that in to the overall price I still think it is a good deal.
This is the price list from Luv my pet:
