I’ve recently been working on sprucing up my apartment and making it a place I really enjoy being. I’ve been reading everyone’s posts and have seen some really great stuff. I want to post pictures of my place when it’s finished, but there are still some parts that need work. I’m pretty satisfied with the living room aside from an empty space in the corner (i want to get some sort of cheap storage ottoman) and the mantel–it just looks so bare and spindly. I’m posting a picture here of what it looks like now hoping you all can lend some suggestions. I like and kind of want to keep the two dark wood pieces, but am not satisfied with the rest. The color scheme of the living room is dark brown, beige, real orang-y terracotta, and dusty turquise (the curtains).
