medication woes

medication woes

So I have no health insurance. I just got a job so I am saving up for it, but right now I have no cash. I am on Effexor and Lo Ovral. I can afford the Lo Ovral, I get it generic for $29.50, but the Effexor is $250 at the cheapest pharmacy I can find. I was getting free samples from my doctor, but they said they have no more. I applied for a program through Wyeth to get it free, but haven't heard back from that yet. The problem is, I run out of pills tomorrow. I get really really bad withdrawal when I go without my pills. Like, I can't function. My doctor said if I come in for an office appointment Thursday, he'll prescribe a generic. (I don't know why he didn't do that before.) But I can't wait til Thursday. I have work Tues and Weds and I know I won't be able to do well if I'm having withdrawal. What can I do? My mom said if I got really sick maybe I could go to the ER, but wouldn't they charge the same to give me Effexor? Thanks..
